October 21st, 2005

To change the default font for all future blank documents:

  1. Select a font in the Format | Font dialog box.
  2. Click the Default… button.
  3. Word will warn you that you are about to make a change in the Normal Template.
  4. OK.

All documents created with the NORMAL.DOT template (the standard template) will use the new default font.
